Dvorak’s Largo For Cello and Piano

During my morning walk on Saturday [from June of 2017], I heard this beautiful version of the “going home” theme from the Largo movement of the Czech Romantic composer, Antonin Dvorak‘s wonderful “New World” Symphony, played on “All Classical Portland“. The version I heard was for cello and piano.  This is one of my favorite movements of any symphony played by full orchestra, and it translates well to the cello.

Antonin Dvorak [Sept. 8 1841 – May 1, 1904]

I thought to myself what a soothing, peaceful, and beautiful melody to share for my classical music blog.

Please turn up the volume and enjoy this beautiful music from one of my favorite composers, Antonin Dvorak, transcribed for cello and piano.

I hope you enjoyed this and have a great and a peaceful day.
